Yoga is a most precious journey, a quest to open our bodies, minds and hearts to being present in every moment!
Yoga is an art and a science which heals, strengthens, stretches and relaxes the skeletal, muscular, digestive, cardio-vascular, glandular and nervous systems. Through asanas or poses, students become more aware of their posture, alignment and patterns of movement. The nourished body becomes stronger, more flexible and younger-looking. Pranayama breathing and meditation techniques cultivate a quiet and peaceful mind while increasing alertness, concentration and confidence. Ultimately, Yoga is a most precious journey, a quest to open our bodies, minds and hearts to being present in every moment!
Our mission is to cultivate and sustain students of all levels and our classes support this mission! We recognize that every student's path is determined and colored by their individual experience, constitution and affinity - which is why we offer a wide variety of classes and provide individual guidance for each student's specific journey. Accordingly, we have 12 amazing instructors who teach over 30 classes per week, Monday – Sunday! Our classes range from beginning to advanced. And we offer several different styles of Yoga, including Ana Forest, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa Flow, Viniyoga, Yin and Iyengar. We also offer Oriental Dance and Shamanic Healing Meditation classes. All Yoga classes are in English, though we have several Czech/English bilingual instructors on staff.
We are based in Prague, Czech Republic (CR). Located in central Europe and an EU member, CR borders Austria, Germany, Poland and Slovakia. Amazing cultural opportunities such as the ballet & opera abound in Prague, as well as sporting events, such as football and hockey. Prague offers efficient and inexpensive public transportation within the city limits and to other cities and countries. Part of the former Austro-Hungarian empire until after WWI, the CR boasts large numbers of castles and chateaux, such as Karlštejn and Český Krumlov. Several natural springs can be found in spa towns such as Karlovy Vary. And, the CR hosts an extensive network of hiking and biking trails in mountain regions such as Šumava and Krkonoše. In winter, outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy skiing and snowboarding in these areas.
