Vinyasa Flow Group Classes
These weekly classes, suitable fro both beginners and advanced practitioners, offer challenging, creative & beautiful pose sequences explored through the breath! Students work on contracting the deep abdominals, obliques & back muscles to provide a foundation for flexibility and strength in all of the poses. This focused core and breath work within the framework of Vinyasa Flow encourages students to effortlessly progress to more complex poses and to work both on and off the mat with greater ease, confidence and joy!
Slow Flow Group Classes
These weekly classes, suitable for both beginners and advanced practitioners, focus on different sequences of postures, some of which are practiced dynamically while others are held static for a few breaths. The breath is always the center point of attention. Students are encouraged to go within themselves and experience the practice from the inside out. Slow Flow promotes strength and flexibility, an increased awareness of the body and a calming of the mind.

Bio
Monica is a certified 200 E-RYT Yoga instructor and has spent the last nine years studying and teaching various aspects of Yoga & Yoga styles. In addition to her Yoga Certification, she has an MA in English Lit. Prior to Yoga she studied karate and hapkido. She believes breath & bandha are the foundation of Yoga and are essential to moving in out of poses safely and effortlessly. Her teaching blends Vinyasa Flow with the underlying alignment principles of Iyengar Yoga and the breath principles of Svastha Yoga. A graduate of the 240-hour North Carolina School of Yoga (NCSY), Monica has trained with several prominent Iyengar, Anusara, Ashtanga Vinyasa & Svastha Yoga teachers in the US, Europe & Asia - her favorites being NCSY director, Chandra Om, Prague's beloved Lucie Konigova & Kuala Lumpur's Yoga Dynamics director, Richard Schultz. Her Prague Yoga Teacher Training Program has been registered through the international Yoga Alliance since 2006. Monica's greatest gifts are her family and friends - who touch her life in ways they can't imagine and her Yoga teachers and students - who constantly grace her classes with their wisdom, love and beauty!
